This is a carved wooden firescreen which I have finished in real antique Austrian Petit Point. This is a one off as I will never have this petit point again. 1:12th (1") scale miniature item. A fire screen began as a form of furniture that acted as a shield between the occupants of a room and the fireplace and its primary function was to reduce the discomfort of excessive heat from a log fire.
